Edmonton, Canada (08/11/01) - The USA's 4x100 brought home another Gold for the USA. The women's team of Kelli White, Chryste Gaines, Inger Miller and Marion Jones easily captured the Gold with a time of 41.71. Germany captured the Silver in 42.32 and France the Bronze in 42.39.

In the women's 100 meter Hurdles Anjanette Kirkland won with a time of 12.42 to take the Gold and Gail Devers finished 2nd with a time of 12.54.

The USA's Savante Stringfellow jumped 8.24 meters to capture the Silver. Cuba's Ivan Pedrose captured the Gold with a jump of 8.40 meters.

The American 4x100 team advanced to the semi-finals on Sunday, but not with out first being disqualified and then reinstated.

The women's 5000 served up an interesting finish with Russia Olga Yegorova winning in 15:03.39, Spain's Dominquez was second in 15:06.59 and third place went to Ethiopia's Worku.
