Running conditions for the 2nd Annual Docs and Jocks 4 Mile run were ideal.
Nathaniel Clay, visting the area, from Eden Prairie, MN won in a record time of 20:26 breaking the old record of 20:55 held by Stan Ford of Lake Orion. Ford, last year's winner, finished 3rd lowering his Master's (40 & older) record to 20:48.
Traci Boenick, a 1995 GLIAC All-Conference Cross Country Runner while competing for Oakland University, won the women's race in 25:07. Traci's time was 6 seconds slower than the 25:01 record set last year by Michelle Kitze of Kettering, Ohio. Maggy Zidar, of Pontiac, lowered the women's master record by 1:20, from 28:24 to 27:04.
Angela Moore, wife of Lion's star Herman Moore, finished 2nd overall in 26:14, two places higher than her 1995 finish.
