Hillsdale - Men's Track Records 4 Wins at Hillsdale Tune Up

In the appropriately named Hillsdale Tune Up, the Charger men's track team competed in the regular season at home one final time in preparation for next weekend's conference championships.
The meet featured several Michigan-based programs like Olivet, Albion and Adrian. Hillsdale secured four first-places in the meet, three in the field events and one in the 4x400 relay.
The foursome of Konnor Maloney, Adam Wade, Nate Eldridge and Lane White won the final event of the day, the 4x400, in 3:23.01. The Chargers cleared the field, winning the race by more than eight seconds over second-place Adrian.
In the field events, Daniel Capek took first in his best event, the weight throw, with an NCAA provo toss of 17.46 meters.
David Chase won a jump-off to take first in the high jump, clearing 6 feet, 6 ¾ inches. Sophomore Merrick Canada won the long jump with a mark of 6.52 meters.
Nick Fiene was the runner-up in the 5000 meter run, placing second with a time of 16:02.32.
The two-day Great Midwest Athletic Conference championships will be hosted by Hillsdale College Friday, Feb. 23-Saturday, Feb. 24.
