CU - T&F Shines at 2-Day Meet Hosted By Findlay

FINDLAY, Ohio – The Golden Eagle track & field teams will get their first look next weekend at the conference championship site but before they travel to Aquinas, CU posted an excellent weekend at Findlay. Together, the pair of teams hit eight Auto NAIA standards, three Provisional marks, had one freshman school record and hit 16 Personal Records. Cornerstone will compete in the GR Sports Hall of Fame T&F Classic next Friday at Aquinas.



Women's Highlights


5,000m – Alexis McConnell and Kelli Smith both hit auto standards and both are personal records



Pentathlon – Morgan Luedy posted 2,994 points - #8 on the all-time list at CU – provisional standard for Indoor meet



Distance Medley Relay – Team of Sierra Albus, Makayla Clum, Ally Rabe and Valerie Richter hit auto standard



Personal Records – Anna Bekius (200), Cass Jager (60), Jaxsen Meldrum (60 hurdles), D'Amaie Davis (Racewalk)




Men's Highlights



1,000m – Joey DeBoer – auto standard – 2:30.77 | Nate Silvey – auto standard – 2:31.97 | Kevin Vroegh – Provisional Standard – 2:32.75



Distance Medley Relay – quartet of Owen Woltjer, Andrew Marshall, Ryan Koontz and Grant Gayan set a new freshman school record



Racewalk on Friday night – Sam Elmi (13:31), Jacob Benson (14:08) and Jason Rabie (14:09) all hit auto standards



Personal Records – Ryan Koontz (mile), Grant Gayan (mile), Tyler Lewis (mile), Sam Elmi (mile), Judah Bruce (shot put),




Cornerstone will head down the road to Aquinas on Friday, February 2 to compete in the GR Sports Hall of Fame T&F Classic.
