A trio of Saints in the top-five helped lead the #2 Aquinas women's cross country team win the Bethel Invitational in South Bend, Ind. on Friday evening (Oct. 6). Five AQ runners placed in the top-25, as the team put together the fifth-fastest time in school history just one week after another terrific performance at the Greater Louisville Classic.
The team overall time of 1:32:50.5 in the 5K competition gave Aquinas the first-place finish and a total of 45 points, as the Saints placed ahead of Taylor with 51 points. Madonna (76), Indiana Wesleyan (165), and Marian (174) rounded out the top-five schools in the 18-team field.
