UDM - Titans Place Eighth At Greater Louisville Classic

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (9/30/17) -- A strong group showing from the Titans male harriers helped them to place eighth in the 16th Annual Greater Louisville Classic.
The Titans took eighth in the blue race with 172 points.
The Titans were led by sophomore James McCann, who placed 18th overall with a time of 26:07, improving on his personal record by a whopping 41 seconds. McCann has been steadily improving over the season and is showing great promise for his last two years as a Titan harrier.
Following McCann and also setting personal records was sophomore Scott Smith with a time of 26:46, a three-second improvement on his career record and just behind Smith was freshman Thomas Mueller posting a time of 26:47.
Also crossing the finish line for the Titans strong sophomore class and breaking the top 50 was Adam Fraeyman with a run of 27:02, with Greg Ingle clocking a 27:05.
"We just missed getting our top five under 27 which was the goal," Guy Murray '89, Director of Track and Field/Cross Country. "We got caught on the short side of a crowded field at the first turn and got caught a bit. We did some good running to make it up."
