CLEVELAND, Ohio – Cassandra Vince set the Sudeck Sundown Classic meet record to lead the Albion College cross country team in its first competition of the season.



Vance, a junior from Amherst, Ohio, completed the 4K course in 14:43. That was good for a 32 second margin over Case Western Reserve University's Danielle Kulpins, the individual runner up.



Albion finished third in the team standings with a total of 64. Case Western (26) and John Carroll University (39) were the top two teams.



Allison Snyder was Albion's second runner, finishing 12th overall, in 16:01. Leaha Sinnaeve (16:10), Jordan Revenaugh (16:34) and Aubrey Hemstreet (17:07) completed Albion's top five.



Next up for Albion is a Sept. 15 date in the Spartan Invitational at the Forest Akers East Golf Course in East Lansing, Mich.
