INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (EMUEagles.com) - The NCAA announced yesterday, Feb. 28, that junior Jordann McDermitt (Davison, Mich. - Davison) of the Eastern Michigan University women's track and field team qualified for the 2017 NCAA Indoor Track & Field Championships.

This marks the first time in her career that McDermitt has qualified for the indoor championships, as she attended the outdoor championships last season. The junior, who will be comepting in the 5000m after snagging the No. 6 seed, becomes the first Eagle to attend the meet since 2014 when Sarah Chauchard competed in the pentathlon.

The Davison, Mich. native recently wrapped up the Indoor Mid-American Conference Championships, Feb. 24-25, finishing with a trio of top-five performances to earn All-MAC second team honors.
