Hope - Rachel Satkiewicz sets 400-meter indoor track record at GVSU Tune-Up

Hope College's Rachel Satkiewicz set an indoor school record in the 400 meters at the nonscoring Grand Valley State University Tune-up on Friday in Allendale.
The junior from Bloomfield Hills, Michigan (Seaholm) clocked a record time of 59.63 seconds as she finished seventh.
Satkiewicz, freshman Nicole Kruithof of Byron Center, Michigan (South Christian), freshman Chelsea Miskelley of Holland, Michigan (Black River) and junior Rachael Webb of Grand Rapids, Michigan (Grandville) clocked a winning relay time of 4 minutes, 11.49 seconds.
Satkiewicz also came ninth in the 200 meters at 27.02.
Webb came in fifth in the 800 meters at 2:16.59.
Freshman Addyson Gerig of Holland, Michigan (West Ottawa) took sixth in the triple jump by leaping 9.73 meters (31 feet, 11.25 inches). Satkiewicz was seventh at 9.32 (30-7).
Freshman Alicia Bostwick of Zionsville, Indiana (Zionsville) placed seventh in the 3,000 meters with a run of 11:09.47.
Junior Sarah Murphy of Ada, Michigan (Forest Hills Northern) tied for eighth by clearing 3.0 meters (9-10).
Hope's next meet is the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association Indoor Track & Field Championship on Saturday, Feb. 25 at Calvin.
