Hillsdale Women - Back to the NCAAs!

The Hillsdale College women's cross country team lost two transendent athletes to graduation last year. For many programs, that would mean a step back from the lofty place it's become accustom to.

Not so for this team.

The Chargers finished fifth at the NCAA Division II Midwest Regional Meet, held Saturday in Evansville, Indiana. The finish puts Hillsdale back in the NCAA national championship meet for the fourth year in a row.

Hillsdale had 185 points as a team, beating out future G-MAC foe Malone for the fifth spot by 12 points. Grand Valley State won the meet with 43 points, while Cedarville took second with 103.

Junior Hannah McIntyre finished fifth overall with a time of 20:53.54. Senior Molly Oren ran a 21:02.65 to take 10th place. Sophomore Allysen Eads recorded 36th-place with a time of 21:50.05.

Junior Meredith Didier crossed the finish line with a time of 22:21.97. Freshman Addison Rauch ran a 22:30.68 and junior Amanda Reagle recorded a time of 22:35.77.
