NEW ORLEANS – The U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association has announced the All-Region honorees for the 2016 outdoor track & field season, and a total of 35 Grand Valley State athletes have received 46 All-Midwest Region honors.

The Grand Valley State women were one of just five teams to take home more than 26 All-Region honors, seeing 19 of their athletes receive 28 total regional honors, while the men's team had 16 of their athletes earn 18 All-Region honors. The top five individuals in each event from each region receive All-Region Distinction by the USTFCCCA, in addition to each of the members of the top three relay teams in the region.

Angela Ritter was one of eight total athletes and six women to receive five All-Region awards.
