HILLSDALE, Mich. -- The University of Michigan women's track and field continued events at the nearby Hillsdale Gina Relays on Friday (April 29), with multiple athletes competing in middle-distance and distance events, and junior/sophomore Sarah Uhlian secured a top-five finish in the pole vault.
Uhlian cleared 3.72 meters (12-2.5 ft.) on her second attempt to place herself among the 12-woman field.
Junior/sophomore Courtney Munley set a personal best, running the 1,500-meter run for the third time this month after making her outdoor debut at the Long Beach Invitational (April 15-16). Munley finished 15th overall in 4:30.82, an improvement of more than 2.5 seconds from her season best.
Sophomore/freshman Ellie Leonard made her 3,000-meter steeplechase debut, running 10:51.06 to finish third in the first section.
The Wolverines will complete events at Hillsdale on Saturday (April 30), beginning at 1 p.m. U-M will also be represented at Stanford's Payton Jordan Invitational on Sunday (May 1), in addition to having athletes at Drake Relays this weekend (Fri-Sat., April 29-30).
