Freshman pole vaulter Jared Schipper made his home outdoor debut a successful one, by winning the event, clearing 5.05 meters. Not far behind was sophomore Matt Harris, who was second with a mark of 4.61 meters.
Senior Maurice Jones breezed to a win in the 400 meter hurdles, with a provo time of 53.33 seconds.
Another winner on the day was sprinter Alexander Mexicotte, who won the 200 meter dash in 22.33 seconds.
Next weekend, Hillsdale's team splits up between Louisiana State and the Mt. SAC Relays in California.
