UDM - Men's Track & Field Competes at Windsor Team Challenge

WINDSOR, Ont. (2/14/2015) -- The University of Detroit Mercy men's track and field squad competed at the Windsor Team Challenge on Saturday and finished with 16 points total, despite being shorthanded at the meet.
Due to illness and injuries, the Titans were without several members of the team, but finished sixth as a team with its point total.
The Titans scored in two relays. UDM finished second in the 4x800 meter relay with the quartet of Joshua Carolin, Charlie Felton, Austin Wigent and Max Rogowski earned a time of 8:05.90.
Detroit placed third in the 4x400 meter relay as the team of Joe Harmon, Jacob Whitting, Ilia Panev and Colton Wirgau finished with a time of 3:32.14.
Felton and Carolin scored points individually for the Titans in the 1,000 meter run. Felton was fifth in the race with a time of 2:33.01. Carolin placed just behind his teammate in seventh with a time of 2:34.38.
Panev led the Titans in the 60 meter hurdles, finishing eighth with a time of 8.59. Freshman Zach Arnold paced Detroit in the 300 meter dash with a time of 36.84. He finished 12th, while Harmon was in 17th with a time of 37.57.
Jake Millyard competed in both the shot put and weight throw for Detroit, finishing with throws of 12.23m and 13.53m, respectively.
Cashner Sets New PR at GVSU Big Meet
Senior thrower Colin Cashner competed at the GVSU Big Meet on Friday in Allendale, Mich. and set a new PR in the weight throw. The senior thrower, who has won the weight throw twice this season and broke the SVSU Fieldhouse record in the event two weeks ago, reached 18.88 meters (61' 11.5") on Friday at Grand Valley State.
Cashner's previous PR in the weight throw was set earlier this season at the IPFW Duals, when he reached 18.71 meters.
