SVSU - Southgate Posts Top-10 Mark as Men's Cross Country Finishes 8th at Lucian Rosa Invitational

KENOSHA, Wis. - The Saginaw Valley State University men's cross country team posted an eighth place finish on Saturday (10/11) at the 2014 Lucian Rosa Invitational, hosted by the University of Wisconsin-Parkside in Kenosha, Wisconsin.



Junior runner Joey Southgate led the men with a 10th place finish in the race. He ran to a time of 25:32.8 in the 8K race.



Freshman Tom Goforth was the next finisher for the Cardinals. Goforth posted a time of 26.28.8 to finish in the 40th spot overall.



The final three scorers for SV finished in 59th place through 61st place, as Andrew Middleton (27:00.1), Trevor Thiebaut (27:01.6) and Clyde Anderson (27:07.6) rounded-out the scores.



The men continue the 2014 season on the road at the Eastern Michigan Classic, set to take place on October 24th in Ypsilanti, Michigan.
