SVSU Men - Middleton Leads SVSU Men at Northwood Invitational

MIDLAND - The Saginaw Valley State University men's cross country team competed at the Northwood University Invitational on Saturday morning (10/4).



The Cardinals finished in fourth place in the 5K event, five points behind third place Northwood.



Sophomore Andrew Middleton had an impressive showing in his first-career cross country race. Middleton ran to a time of 16:00.72 to finish in 11th place in the event.



Freshman Kyle Baxter was next for SVSU, as he finished in 15th with a time of 16:30.77 while senior George Modrak posted a 16th place showing with a time of 16:41.13.



Junior Travis Toye (16:45.09, 17th) and freshman Collin Nurenburg (16:59.27, 20th) rounded-out the scoring for the Cardinals.



The Cardinals return to action on Saturday, October 11th, as they travel to Kenosha, Wisconsin to run at the Lucian Rosa Invitational, hosted by the University of Wisconsin-Parkside.
