LOUISVILLE, Ky. (10/4/2014) -- Four Titans were able to post sub-20 minute runs and it was nearly five for the second-straight race as the University of Detroit Mercy women's cross country team was in action on Saturday at the 13th Annual Greater Louisville Classic.

Detroit totaled 583 points in the 5k Blue Race for 26th place at E.P. Tom Sawyer State Park.

Senior Zeinab Baydoun kept up her impressive senior campaign leading Detroit for the third-straight week and setting her personal record once again as she was 40th in 18:47, two seconds faster than her previous PR at this year's Running Fit-Detroit Titan Invitational. It was also her third-straight 5k race going under 19 minutes.

Senior Sara Taylor also came away with a career best as she recorded a 19:16 for 92nd, 22 seconds better than her 19:38 run at this season's National Catholic Championship and more than a minute faster than her three previous trips to Louisville.

Freshmen Taylor Smith and Sydnie Fetherolf were both under 20 for the second-straight race as Smith took 118th in 19:24 and Fetherolf was 178th in 19:52.

Freshman Jenny Ponkowski was just outside the 20-minute barrier claiming 201st in 20:08, while sophomore Devon Sutton returned to the course after missing the last event with an injury and posted a time of 20:11 for 209th.

Sophomore Samantha Zakalowski finished in 216th place with a run of 20:14, 35 seconds quicker then her run at the GLC in 2013. Freshman Sydney Shaw recorded a season-best 20:29 for 240th as did freshman Jenna Hickson, who turned in a 21:15 for 294th.

The Titans will have one more race to get ready for the Horizon League Championship as the red, white and blue travel to Jesuit-rival Canisius to take part in the Canisius Alumni Classic on Oct. 18.
