WMU - McDaniel Paces WMU at Roy Griak Invitational

MINNEAPOLIS -- Maria McDaniel took 32nd overall in a field of 390 runners as the Western Michigan track and field team wrapped up competition at the Roy Griak Invitational on Saturday afternoon.

McDaniel paced the Broncos for the third straight meet, finishing with a 6k time of 22:08.3. Overall, WMU finished in 29th but finished ahead of Mid-American Conference rivals Central Michigan.

Junior Ann Marie Arsenau was the Broncos' second finisher on the day, taking 76th overall with a time of 22:46.2. Freshman Hanne Christensen, senior Becca Peacock and sophomore Daya Wagh rounded out WMU's top five. Peacock, Wagh and Amy Littlefield were all able to finish within five seconds of eachother. Peacock tallied a time of 24:54, while Wagh finished at 24:58 and Littlefield at 24:59.

Next up for the squad is the Notre Dame Invitational on Friday at 2 p.m.
