NORTHVILLE, Mich. - The Oakland men's and women's cross country teams both finished fifth at the 28th Annual Running Fit-Detroit Titan Cross Country Invitational on Saturday afternoon at Cass Benton Park. "It was nice to see this group get out and race today," said head coach Paul Rice. "They have been working very hard in practice and a course like this really tested their fitness. We sat out our top six on both sides today so the performances from today's meet will help us finalize the travel squad for next week's trip to Kenosha. Next week we will continue to work hard and keep out long term goals in mind."
The Oakland men's team finished fifth out of 11 teams with 148 points coming behind event winner Bucknell (38 points) followed by Eastern Michigan (56), Wayne St (64) and Detroit (90).
