TOLEDO, Ohio -- Sophomore Cindy Ofili (Ypsilanti, Mich./Huron) secured two of the Wolverines' four event titles, as the University of Michigan women's track and field team capped the 2014 regular season at the Toledo Invitational on Friday (May 3) at Fetterman Stadium.

Ofili won the 100-meter dash and 100-meter hurdles, clocking times of 11.95 and 13.32, respectively.

Michigan swept the top three spots in the 800-meter run, with junior Brook Handler (Rochester Hills, Mich./Rochester) leading the charge in first place with a time of 2:09.78. Junior/sophomore Shannon Osika (Waterford, Mich./Mott) (2:11.06) and sophomore Danielle Pfeifer (Cincinnati, Ohio/McAuley) (2:11.96) followed closely in the second and third spots.

Sophomore Maya Long (Ann Arbor, Mich./Huron) notched Michigan's fourth and final victory of the day, running a winning time of 55.00 in the 400-meter dash. Later in the day, Long also recorded a runner-up finish in the 200-meter dash in a career-best time of 25.00.

In the 1,500-meter run, freshmen Courtney Munley Clarkston, Mich./Mott) and Corinne Florie (Mahopac, N.Y./Mahopac) crossed the finish line back to back in second and third place, respectively, in times of 4:37.78 and 4:38.24. Florie's time marked a new personal best.

Fifth-year senior Joanna Fleming (Grand Haven, Mich./Grand Haven) and senior/junior Elly Mioduszewski (Dexter, Mich./Dexter) each registered third-place throwing performances to highlight action in the field for the Maize and Blue. Fleming took third in the hammer throw with a toss of 52.83 meters (173-4), while Mioduszewski matched her career-best throw in the shot put at 13.79 meters (45-2.75) to finish in third place.

The Wolverines will now begin their outdoor championship season, when they travel to West Lafayette, Ind., for the Big Ten Outdoor Championships from Friday-Sunday, May 16-18, on the campus of Purdue University.
