EMU - Women's Track and Field Completes Tennessee Relays

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (EMUEagles.com)—Eastern Michigan University's women's track and field team finished up the final day of the Tennessee Relays with a pair of individual performances and three relays, April 12.
Anna Quilez-Ribera (Girona, Spain-University of Girona) and Makeda DeBardelaben (Saginaw, Mich.-Arthur Hill) performed in individual events, as Quilez-Ribera finished the 3000m steeplechase in 11:17.38 for fifth and DeBardelaben had a personal-best mark of 5.64 meters/18 feet 6.00-inches in the long jump.
The Green and White notched one winning finish, fielded by the team of Taylor Knoll (Warren, Mich.-Mott (Lansing CC)), Aaliyah McKinney (South Bend, Ind.-John Adams), Pauline Chiariglione (Ajaccio, France-University of Nice), and Victoria Voronko (Stavropol, Russia-School #42) in the distance medley relay. The quartet crossed the line in 11:50.86 to take the Eagles' lone win of the day.
McKinney joined Iesha Hardiman (Santa Clara, Calif.-Adrian Wilcox), Morgan Yeadon (Indianapolis, Ind.-Pike), and Danielle Clark (Paramaribo, Suriname-Ewald P. Meyer Lyceum) in the 4x100m relay earlier in the day's events. The team took fifth in 46.51. To cap off the meet, the team of Clark, Yeadon, Hardiman, and Agata Klimovich (Minsk, Belarus-Minsk School of Olympic Reserve) finished sixth in the 4x400m relay in 3:44.68.
The Eagles will head to the Buckeye State for the Jesse Owens Classic, hosted by Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio, April 18-19.
