EMU - Women's Cross Country Completes Action at the Fall Classic

DEXTER, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) — The Eastern Michigan University women's cross country team finished up competition in the EMU Fall Classic, wrapping up the 2013 season's regular meet schedule.

The Eagles ran four of their athletes in Friday's meet, led by sophomore Amy Frauhammer (Saline, Mich.-Saline) with a time of 18:49.9. The race was won by Saucony's Nicole Sifuentes, a Canadian National Team member and former Michigan Wolverine, who swiftly covered the course in 16:57.1.

Junior Taylor Knoll (Warren, Mich.-Mott(Lansing C.C.)), redshirt-freshman Samantha Szuminski (Saline Mich.-Saline), and freshman Anna Quilez-Ribera (Girona, Spain-University of Girona) also represented the Eagles, coming in at 44th, 54th, and 38th-place, respectively.

Eastern will make the short trek to Bowling Green, Ohio to race in the 2013 Mid-American Conference Championships, Saturday, Nov. 2. The squad will look to improve upon last season's fifth-place turnout against the MAC's finest harriers. The meet is slated to begin at 11 a.m.
