Oakland U - Hutton, Peabody Earn Spot in NCAA Outdoor East Preliminary Meet

ROCHESTER, Mich. - Oakland's Brittni Hutton and Breanna Peabody have qualified for the NCAA Outdoor Track and Field East Preliminary Meet as announced by the NCAA this week. This is the first time since 2011 that an Oakland athlete has made it to the national meet.
Hutton, a senior from Highland, Mich., qualified for the 10,000m run by running a 34:56.38 at the Drake Relays and ranks 42nd overall in the event. Peabody, a senior from Utica, Mich., earned the 36th fastest time in the 400m hurdles with a 59.29 at the Toledo Invitational and finished runner-up in the event at the league championships meet.
The NCAA Outdoor Track and Field East Preliminary Meet, hosted by North Carolina AT&T State, will take place May 23-25 at Irwin Belk Track inside of Aggie Stadium.
