MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. - The Golden Grizzlies combined to break four individual school records and one relay record as the Oakland men's and women's track and field teams competed at the Lyle Bennett Open, hosted by Central Michigan, on Saturday at the Lyle Bennett Outdoor Track.
"Finally a great weather day for track and field and the results from our athletes showed it," said coach Paul Rice. "A great day like this should really energize these athletes as we enter the most important time in our season two weeks from now. I am looking for a great week of training this week as we work to fine tune these athletes for the league championships."
For the women, Breanna Peabody finished first and set the school record in the 400m hurdles with a time of 1:00.17.
