SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- The 2013 indoor track and field season came to an end for Western Michigan as the Broncos missed out on qualifying for the 2013 Indoor National Championships at the Alex Wilson Invitational on Saturday afternoon.
The Broncos competed in the 200 meter dash and the 4x400 meter relay in an attempt to finish in the nation's top 12 and advance. The 200 was a warmup for Rebecca Hall, Andrea Arnold, Iris Campbell and Lindsey Hufnagel to ready them for the relay. Ultimately the Broncos finished with a time of 3:39.47, their fastest on the season, but missed out on the top 12.
The squad finished eighth overall in a loaded field amongst the nation's best. WMU also got the best of Kent State's MAC title-winning 4x400 team. WMU also finished ahead of Iowa State and Purdue.
