YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) – Eastern Michigan University men's track and field Head Coach John Goodridge has been nominated as a candidate for the NCAA Great Lakes Regional Coach of the Year by the United States Collegiate Track Coaches Association. The award will be announced at the NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships, March. 8-9, in Fayetteville, Ark.

“To be a candidate for such an award is really a testament to the efforts of the EMU coaching staff and athletes of which I am very proud to represent,” Coach Goodridge commented on the nomination.

Goodridge leads an EMU indoor squad that is currently ranked No. 9 in the Great Lakes Region following a victory at the Mid-American Conference Indoor Track and Field Championships on Bob Parks Track, Feb. 23-24, the team's 14th conference crown in the past 18 years. During that meet, Goodridge was also named MAC Coach of the Year by the conference coaches.
