SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- Junior/sophomore Cody Riffle (Toledo, Ohio/St. John's Jesuit) of the University of Michigan men's track and field team won the shot put on the final day of the Notre Dame Alex Wilson Invitational on Saturday (March 2) at the Loftus Sports Center.
Riffle recorded a throw of 18.53 meters (60-9.50) to win the event, while sophomore/freshman Derek Sievers (Byron Center, Mich./Byron Center) took third with a mark of 17.18 meters (56-4.25).
In the high jump, senior/junior Bradley James (East Lansing, Mich./Haslett) finished fourth, clearing a height of 2.06 meters (6-9).
