2013 Brooks PR Results

In addition to the great high school aged runners competing at this Saturday's MITS (Michigan Indoor Track Series) State Meet event on the campus of Central Michigan University, our state will have a solid group of athletes taking part at the prestigious 2013 Brooks PR Invitational this Sunday, February 24 at the University of Washington.

Now in its third year, Brooks is bringing together the fastest high school athletes from around the country to compete on one of the fastest tracks in the nation, the Dempsey Indoor Track on the campus of the University of Washington in Seattle.

In recent years, track athletes from Michigan have turned in some of the most exciting performances at this event. In 2012, Hannah Meier of Grosse Pointe Farms, currently a senior at Grosse Pointe South High School, won the overall title in the Girl's Mile with a time of 4:43.28. Hannah's twin sister Haley finished in third place in that same race in 4:48.1.

Erin Finn, also a senior, who runs during the regular track season for West Bloomfield High School, took third in the 2012 Brooks PR Girl's 2 Mile Run with a time of 10:18. Both Hannah Meier and Erin Finn are previous MHSAA State Champions as well.

At this year's Brooks PR meet, the State of Michigan will be well represented with nine athletes set to compete.

Utica High School hurdler Freddie Crittenden and Reed City's Samantha Mitchell are entered in the 60M Hurdles.

Connor Mora of Cedar Springs and Haley Meier will be running the Mile.

Hannah Meier, Ersula Farrow (Grosse Pointe South) and Jamie Morrisey (Rochester Adams) will all be competing in the 800 Meters.

And, Finn and Grosse Pointe South's Kelsie Schwartz will be running the Two Mile.
