Senior thrower Kathy Dirksen took second place in both the shot put and weight throw events. Her mark of 17.66 meters in the weight throw was good for an NCAA provo standard. Dirksen had company near the top in the shot put, as Amber Mueller finished third, and Heather Lantis was fourth in that event.
Amy Kerst (800) and Adrianna Yancho (high jump) each finished second in their respective events. Freshman Danielle Gagne and senior Becky Caywood picked up third place finishes, in the 200 and 400. Freshman Emily Oren achieved an NCAA provo mark with an impressive mile run, finishing in 5:00.12.
