EMU Women's Cross Country Finishes 30th in Louisville

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (EMUEagles.com) – The Eastern Michigan University Women's Cross Country team placed 30th Saturday at the 33rd running of the Women's NCAA Pre-Nationals meet hosted by the University of Louisville.
The Eagles finished the highly competitive red race with 768 combined team points.
Sophomore Victoria Voronko was the top finisher for EMU on the day, finishing 92nd overall.
Rounding out the top five finishers for the Green and White were Kayla Pfund, Morgan Churchwell, Rachel Quaintance and Marina Manjon Rivadulla.
#1 Florida State won the team title with a team score of 72 points, while Aliphine Tuliamuk-Bolton of Wichita State took the individual title, crossing the line in 19:43.9.
The Eagles will be back in action next weekend, October 19, when the Eagles host one of two upcoming home meets this season, the EMU Fall Classic. The race will take place in Denton, Michigan at the Hudson Mills Metro Park with the women's race at 4:30 PM followed by the men's at 5:00 PM.
