SHU's Keeping 12th, 17th in Hurdle Events at Outdoor Track & Field NAIAs

MARION, Ind. -- Cassie Keeping (Prince George, B.C./Prince George) finished 12th in the 100-meter hurdles and 17th in the 400 hurdles as the Siena Heights women's track and field team competed on day two of the NAIA Outdoor Championships at Indiana Wesleyan.



Keeping ran a time of :14.76 in the 100 hurdles and then clocked in at 1:05.41 in the 400 hurdles. She was also a member of the 14th-place 4x100 relay team.



Keeping, Roshelle Woods (Canton, Mich./Wayne Memorial), Morgan Choszczyk (Webberville, Mich./Webberville) and Arika Knannlein (Toledo, Ohio/Central Catholic) teamed for a time of :48.04 in the 4x100.



Taylor Byron (Livonia, Mich./Churchill) also competed on Saturday for the Saints, placing 22nd in the shot put with a distance of 41 feet, 9 3/4 inches (12.74 meters).



The NAIA Outdoor Championships will wrap up on Saturday at IWU.
