U of M Men - U-M's 4x400m Relay Qualifies for NCAA Championships

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- The University of Michigan men's track and field team wrapped up competition on the final day of the NCAA East Preliminary Rounds, as the 4x400-meter relay qualified for the NCAA Championships. The relay squad clocked a season-best time of 3:06.15 to finish eighth on Saturday (May 26) at the University of North Florida's Hodges Stadium.
The relay was comprised of senior Nick Neuman (Mokena, Ill./Lincoln-Way East), juniorAaron Taylor (Rochester Hills, Mich./Rochester Adams), senior/junior Matthew Campbell(Rochester, Mich./Rochester) and freshman Philip Washington (West Bloomfield, Mich./West Bloomfield). They topped their previous season-best time of 3:06.27, which they recorded at the Big Ten Outdoor Championships.
In the pole vault, junior Jack Greenlee (Cincinnati, Ohio/St. Xavier) finished 24th after clearing a height of 5.17 meters (16-11.50).
The 4x400-meter relay will join fifth-year senior Craig Forys (Howell, N.J./Colts Neck) and sophomore Ali Arastu(Northville, Mich./Northville), who also qualified for the NCAA Championships earlier in the meet. It will mark Forys and Arastu's second straight trip to the national meet, which is slated for June 6-9 in Des Moines, Iowa.
