EMU - Women's Track and Field Competes at Silverston Invite

ANN ARBOR, Mich. (EMUEagles.com)— The Eastern Michigan University women's track and field team placed in the top five in nine of 14 events Saturday, Feb. 18, at the Sliverston Invitational.

The Eagles posted runner-up performances in four events on the afternoon including Danielle Clark, who took runner-up honors in the 60-meter and 200-meter dashes with times of 7.65 and 24.78 seconds, respectively.

In field events, Rosie White used a long jump of 18-feet 5.75-inches to claim second place. Ebony Mundy also took runner-up honors in the triple jump with a result of 32-feet 10.25-inches.

Beverly Elcock took third place in the 400-meter dash with a time of 57.23 seconds. Brook Scuillo placed fifth for running the 800-meter dash in 2:20.84.

A pair of Eagles, Kate Wolanin and Tatijana Jacobson, claimed third and fourth place, respectively, in the high jump, while Meghan Powers and Jennifer Schornak took fourth and fifth place in the pole vault.

Other placewinners included Tiara Oates, who took fourth in the long jump, and Angela Scarber, who was fifth in the weight throw.

The Eagles will conclude the indoor season Feb. 24-25 at the Mid-American Conference Championships.
