Detroit Mercy Women - Titans Compete at IPFW Quads

FORT WAYNE, Ind. -- The IPFW Quadrangular Meet saw the women's track and field team in competition on Saturday as IPFW hosted Oakland, Valparaiso and Detroit.

In the long jump, Bri Soule leaped 5.12m and placed second.

In the 60m dash, Nicole Meisner and Nikia Duncan won both of their respective preliminaries. Duncan went on to finish second in the finals clocking in at 8.04.

In the distance races, Katrina Oberski came in fourth with a time of 5:22.97 in the mile run. In the 3000m race, Zeinab Baydoun clocked in at 10:49.80 which was good enough for a third place finish.

Torrie Eger set a new PR in the 5k race with a mark of 20:12.69.

In the 400m race, Sequoyia Calhoun set a new facility record with a time of 59.04. Jasmine Greene (1:01.67), Shannon Marchant (1:02.54) and Hana Hunt (1:03.19) were also in the 400m competition.

In the 4x400m relay, the Titan team placed first as Brandee Hart, Greene, Duncan and Calhoun had a time of 4:00.38.

After this weekend, Detroit will head to Youngstown, OH for the YSU National Invitational on Feb. 3-4.
