EMU Women's Track to Compete in 2012 Indiana Relays

YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) – The Eastern Michigan University women's track and field team will travel to Bloomington, Ind. to compete in the University of Indiana Relays from Friday, Jan. 27, to Saturday, Jan. 28. The competition is set to start at 3 p.m. Friday at Gladstein Fieldhouse.
This two-day meet is scheduled to begin with the long jump for women on the field side and the 60-meter hurdle races are set to start at 3:10 p.m. Friday's sprint events will be for seeding and to determine who will make it to the semi-finals and finals which are to be held on Saturday afternoon.
As for the distance events, the finals will be held on Friday evening. The only distance event to be held on Saturday will be the 5,000-meter run.
The Eagles will be in competition with schools from across the nation for this event and look to display their success on a national stage this weekend.
