EMU Eagles Head to Ohio for Findlay Classic

YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) – The Eastern Michigan University men's track and field team will travel to Findlay, Ohio to compete in Findlay Classic Saturday, Jan. 28. The competition is set to start at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at the Malcolm Athletic Center.

The Eagles' men will compete in a number of events with the field events to get them started. It is the long jump that will begin competition at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, with the rest of the meet's field events to follow.

On the track side, the classic will begin with the 60-meter hurdles preliminaries at 11:25 a.m. The races will begin to get progressively longer until the 3,000-meter closes out the single-man races. The meet will conclude with the 4x400-meter relay at 5:25 p.m.

"We've added the Findlay meet this weekend for a select group of athletes who we believe can profit from competing while the remaining team members will continue training for next weekends meet at Notre Dame," remarked head coach John Goodridge.

Eastern will travel to the campus of the University of Notre Dame next week at the 2012 Meyo Invitational.
