EMU - WXC Takes 13th at NCAA Great Lakes Regional

TOLEDO, Ohio (EMUEagles.com) —The Eastern Michigan University women's cross country team wrapped up action this afternoon at the NCAA Great Lakes Regional in Toledo, Ohio.

The Eagles tallied 384 points to place 13th overall — a five-place improvement from last season's regional effort.

Freshman Victoria Voronko was the top finisher this afternoon for the Green and White. She placed 36th in a large 227-participant field after completing the 6,000-meter race in 21:29.2.

Junior Courtney Calka was the next to complete race on the Ottawa Park Golf Course, running a time of 22:08.3 for a 74th place finish.

Senior Beverly Elcock placed just a few seconds behind Calka, completing the distance in 22:13.6 in 79th place.

Morgan Churchwell and Rachel Quaintance placed 88th and 107th, respectively, while Amber Huston took 143rd and Tiffany Kincaid placed 162nd for the Eagles.
