EMU Women Concludes Action at EMU Fall Classic

DEXTER, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) — The Eastern Michigan University women's cross country team wrapped up action at the EMU Fall Classic today, Oct. 21 at the Hudson Mills Metro Park in Dexter, Mich.

While the Eagles' top runners did not participate in today's event, the Green and White placed three in the top-30 this afternoon in a field of 72 participants.

Tiffany Kincaid paced the Eagles on the 5,000-meter course, crossing the finish line at 19:05.88 for a 21st place effort.

Amber Hudson placed 23rd in 19:14.44, while teammate Cassie Coffman completed the event in 19:35.23 for a 29th place finish.

Mary Smock ran a time of 19:55.89 on the afternoon for a 35th place performance, while Lauren Lunsford and Brooke Sciullo finished 52nd and 54th, respectively.

The Green and White will return to action when they head to Muncie, Ind. for the highly anticipated 2011 Mid-American Conference Cross Country Championships on Oct. 29. Start time is set for noon.
