Rounds makes USA 800 Meter World Championship Team

Eugene, Oregon -- 1999 USATF OUTDOOR NATIONALS Kathy Rounds of South Lyon, Michigan, made the world championship team on Sunday June 27th by placing 3rd in the 800m final in Eugene, OR. Rounds was the 1997 800 meter USATF Outdoor Champion. Her husband commented, "I guess she landed on her face rather than her chest." Rounds got tied up at the finish with Joetta Clark and ended up with a concussion, 7 stitches on her chin, and a cut lip from the impact.
