May
1, 2002
Flint, MI- The ninth annual Crim Kids Classic will once again take over the Flint Cultural Center, Saturday, May 18, 2002. This one-day festival is full of fun and races for kids of all ages, with many new and exciting activities planned.
Just an example of the entertainment in store for this year's Crim Kids Classic is Klods for Kids, demonstrating the many talents of their remote controlled monster trucks by pulling participants around in wagons and competing against kids in races. Puppies from the Humane Society of Genesee County will be on display for tail wagging adventures, Mr. Stuffy, courtesy of the Children's Museum, will give kids a hands on view of what they're made of on the inside and a monster truck moonwalk for a bouncing good time. Buzby, the B-95 FM bee will make an appearance as well as Raggs, the Genesee Valley Center Mascot.
As the children enjoy the day full of healthy physical activities, Mott Children's Health Center and Just a Bit, Gets Youth Fit will be available with health conscious information for kids of all ages. Register to win one of a pair of Schwinn Sting-Ray Scooters, courtesy of Assemnacher's Cycling Center, B-95 FM and Just a Bit, Gets Youth Fit.
In addition to the exciting children's activities, is the Cultural Center's "Museum Day"-which means free admission to the Longway Planetarium, the Flint Institute of Arts and the Sloan Museum.
Race Day registration is held at the Sarvis Center, beginning at 10:00 a.m. with the races immediately following. Every child that registers is a winner-receiving a Crim Kids Classic t-shirt, custom medal, goodie bag and refreshments (even ice cream)!
