RESULTS OF THE 2001 STONY CREEK METROPARK 18th ANNUAL BIATHLON

The morning was warm(72) under sunny skies as approximately 140
participants entered the water to compete in the 18th Annual 
Swim/Run Biathlon sponsored by Stony Creek Metropark.  The 1K 
Swim followed by a 5K Run over a mostly cross county type course
included both local people and people from out of state.

Don Malan finished in first place overall for the met with a time
of 28:39.  He beat out Nathaniel Spurr who posted a time of 28:59
and Jerry Carroll who had a time of 32:02

Mica Vanglingerlandt took the top spot for the women with a time of
33:43.  She was followed by Mary Keener with a time of 36:00 and 
Carol Nicholson with a time of 36:08.

In team competition - FIRST Place Winners (One person swims and 
the other runs).
