Two Detroit area running events will take
place this weekend as fundraising efforts to benefit relief
efforts and support for the victims of the September 11, 2001
attack on New York City and Washington D.C.
On Saturday, October 27th, the Twin Towers
5K Run/Walk and 10K Run will take place at Romeo High School,
beginning at 5:00 p.m. Romeo High School is located on 32
Mile Road, about a half mile west of Van Dyke in Romeo.
The Twin Towers race was the brainchild of
Joe Gibson and the members of the Hansons Running Shop Olympic
Development Program. All proceeds from
this event will be going to the Twin Towers Fund. More information
on the Twin Towers Fund can be found at the links below.
