Cross Country Releases 2001 Schedule

Irish will host the traditional National Catholic and Notre Dame
Invitational meets next year.

NOTRE DAME, Ind. -- (4-18-01) The University of Notre Dame men's
and women's cross country teams have released their 2001 schedule for next
fall. The Irish will host the traditional National Catholic and Notre Dame
Invitationals, as well as traveling to Greenville, SC, for the Pre-National
meet.
The men's team will boast one of the top teams in the nation next
season after finishing ninth at the 2000 NCAA Cross Country Championship in
Ames, Iowa. Cross country All-Americans Ryan Shay (Central Lake, Mich.),
Luke Watson (Stillwater, Minn.) and Pat Conway (Springfield, Va.) are set
to return from the 2000 BIG EAST Championship runner-up squad.
