Coast to Coast for the Cure Supporters

Hello Coast to Coast for the Cure Supporters. This is PJ's sister Julie
and I just wanted to send out an update of the upcoming Mackinac plans. On
Sunday morning PJ will be given a police escort to run across the bridge from
South to North at 7:00 am. We have been given the use of the Welcome Center
on the St. Ignace side to celebrate his final run. We would like to ask
everyone that can possibly come to be at the Welcome Center at around 7:30am
to help cheer PJ on as he finishes his incredible journey. On Monday, PJ
will walk across the bridge with everyone there and we hope to have the motor
home in the Welcome Center parking lot as a gathering spot. Anyone that
would like to walk across with PJ to show their support in the fight against
cancer, please come to the Welcome Center at 7:00 am. Look for the motor
home or people in Coast to Coast for the Cure T-shirts. PJ should also be
recognized in the Governor's speech. "The Depot" in the Mackinac Crossings
will be hosting a "Coast to Coast for the Cure Finale Celebration" from 11:00
- 2:00 on Monday. They will be donating a percentage of their business that
day to the cause. PJ will have a table set up in front of "The Depot" where
we will be collecting donations, gathering signatures of support on the
project card and selling T-shirts. They have entertainment planned and are
hoping to give PJ the stage for a few minutes sometime on Monday to say a few
words.

I would like to send out a personal plea to everyone. PLEASE PARTICIPATE IN
ONE OR BOTH OF THESE EVENTS. PJ has devoted over a year of his life to
helping in the fight against cancer, he has run over 2800 miles (yes that is
2800 not 2700, it is not a typo), he has talked with hundreds of people to
raise awareness, he has gathered hundreds of signatures of supporters in the
fight against cancer, he has battled weather, personal pain and many other
hurdles to try to make a difference. Please if you can possibly attend, help
us show PJ as well as those fighting this disease that they are not alone.
Help us make such a tremendous show of support at Mackinac that anyone that
is struggling with cancer will feel uplifted, smile and have a sense of
hope.

I would also like to ask all of you to take this opportunity to tell everyone
you know (and I mean everyone) about the project. Please come right out and
ask your friends and relatives to make a donation, whatever they can afford,
every penny helps in the battle. If you have not already donated please do
so today. We need for everyone to work together to find a cure. From the
beginning of Coast to Coast for the Cure, PJ's vision was of everyone doing
whatever they could to help and all of us putting it together. Alone we can
only accomplish so much, but together we can move mountains.

I know that PJ has been uplifted by all of your emails and shows of support
and encouragement and we thank you all. If you have any questions or need
more details please feel free to email me at the website
"coast2coast4cure.org" or call Ann Walsh at (616) 540-8617.

Sincerely,
Julie B. Fentner
