CheeseTown Challenge Race in Pinconning Michigan

The CheeseTown Challenge Race in Pinconning Michigan scheduled for Saturday August 11th at 6:00 P.M.
has obtained Runners World Magazine Sponsorship. The race which is fast becoming a cult with runners
will not only be providing their famous Pinnconning Cheese and fanastic race shirts to entrants but
individual boxes of Wheaties Energy Crunch cereal along with a great variety of runners merchadise
supplied by Runners World. Race director Marty Schultz adds, We're always adding alittle extra
frosting to the cake.
Since the race is in the evening 6:00 P.M. the CheeseTown also does something else unique.Anyone who
is not already pre-registered and runs another race that morning can bring their race bib to the
CheeseTown and receive the pre-entry fee which is only $10.00. Unheard of for a race that has all
the amenities of a big city race. Take for example their finish line. Runners finish under a large
banner draped between scaffolding with music playing, an annoucer calling out names and times to go
along with the big chonomix clock easily visible to them. They are then treated to ice cream
sandwiches, popsicles, 5 different fruits, and all the All Sport drink they can consume plus pure
water straight from their new filtration plant. The words out Be There or Be Square! CheeseTown
Challenge Races 2001 Saturday August 11th 6:00 P.M.
