Hansons Running Shops are pleased to announce continued expansion. Hansons has opened their 4th Detroit area running specialty shop in Auburn Hills. The new location is at 2733 University at I75 exit #79 in the Auburn Crossing shopping plaza. The new location will offer group runs on Wednesday evenings at 6:00 pm. The location is open Monday through Friday from 11:00 am to 8:00 pm, Saturday 10:00 am to 6:00 pm and Sunday 11:00 am to 5:00 pm. Call the store at 248-475-9944 for more information.

With the opening of Hansons 4th store we will continue to give back the sport of running by expanding the Hansons Olympic Development program. The Hansons Olympic Development Program provides full financial support to a select group of American distance runners aspiring to make the olympic team. This program is fully funded by Hansons Running Shops. Participant receive free housing, free health benifits, free running equipmpent, and travel expenses for nationwide competitions. Olympic development runners are also employed at Hansons Running Shops and are paid an hourly wage for time spent at the stores. The expansion of this program includes the purchase of a 2nd Rochester Hills home to house additional incoming runners. This is the only full support Olympic Development Program for American distance runners in the United States

Jim Jurcevich will be traveling to Sacramento, California to compete in the United States Olympic trials 10,000 meter run which is being contested on Friday July 14th.
