CRIM FESTIVAL OF RACES PRESS RELEASE
Flint - The Morning after the CRIM
Flint, MI- For those worried as to what to do when the Crim is over, Mark Jagos, MSW, CSW, CAC-1, has the answers. His free presentation titled "The Morning After" will be held at 6:00 p.m., Tuesday, August 15, at Hurley Health & Fitness, located at 4500 S. Saginaw Street, Flint. Everyone is invited.
His adapted concepts of Mental Training for Exercise and Sports focuses on motivation and positive attitude to help end the vicious "Start and Stop" pattern in a running or exercise schedule. He maintains that setting goals, positive self-talk, relaxation, visualization and imagery through the "non-training months" can help "winterize" your running and exercise schedule. As a Sports and Fitness Therapist, Mark will discuss the psychological factors that influence exercise and sports participation and explain how to recognize and control the emotions faced when exercising or training.
Mark is a certified social worker, sports counselor, personal trainer and addictions counselor and is a part-time instructor at University of Michigan-Flint. He has been running for 17 years, nine of those years as a marathon runner and has been the Director of the Flint based Jeff Galloway Marathon Training Program for two years.
For more information about Mark Jagos and the concepts of Mental training for Exercise and Sports call (810) 735-0821.
