Rochester Hills, MI, August 11, 2008--The Hansons-Brooks (powered by Saturn) team has added Oklahoma State alum David Jankowski to their roster. Jankowksi joins Hansons-Brooks after a career at Oklahoma State where he distinguished himself as both student and athlete.

He was a member of three NCAA Cross Country top-ten teams (2005, 2006, 2007)--helping the Cowboys to a third place finish in 2007, which matched their finish in 1995 for the highest placing in school history since OSU's 1954 NCAA crown. He also placed top-ten in the Midwest Regional three times and helped lead the Cowboys in two Midwest Regional championships (2006, 2007).

On the track, Jankowski qualified for the NCAA Championships in the 10000 meters in 2006 and 2008. His highest placing in the NCAAs came during his sophomore campaign, placing 16th in the 2006 Track and Field Championships (29:38.25). Earlier that year, he ran a personal best 28:51.81 at the Cardinal Invitational--just one second shy of the school record. At the NCAAs this year, he placed 17th in 29:53.48.

Jankowski also represented the United States in the NACAC Under-23 Track and Field Championships in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic--finishing fourth in the 10000 meters.

While at Oklahoma State, Jankowski was a six-time Academic All-American and became one of only 12 men's cross country runners in the nation to be granted an NCAA Post-Graduate Scholarship. He earned undergraduate degrees in Public Relations and Psychology.
