Provided by Hillsdale
Saturday night in Kansas, Charger senior Hannah McIntyre ran the final race of her remarkable indoor track career.
She made it count.
McIntyre earned her second All-American honor of the weekend, placing sixth in the 3000 meter run with a time of 9:31.23. Runners five through eight finished within .58 seconds of one another, with McIntyre right in the middle of that pack. The event champion, Alicja Konieczek, won the race in 9:29.39.
This was McIntyre's 11th career All-American honor between cross country and track.
Friday night, McIntyre took fourth in the 5000 meter run in 16:33.39. She led the race through the first 800 meters, getting off to a very fast start. She ended up six seconds out of third place, but four seconds ahead of fifth place in the event. She scored all 8 of Hillsdale's points at this year's NCAA championships.
Hillsdale's other national qualifiers - Joseph Humes, Allysen Eads, Maryssa Depies and Arena Lewis - all were unable to qualify for the finals in their respective events.
