Albion Men - Track & Field athletes tune up for MIAA Championship

HILLSDALE, Mich. – Jephte Jean-Claude sailed 45' 7" to take first place in the triple jump as Albion College track & field athletes tuned up for the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association Indoor Championships with a competition at Hillsdale College.
The MIAA Championships are set for next Saturday at Trine University.
Jean-Claude's jump was the second-longest in school history.
Britons finishing in the top eight of their respective events included Trey Cucuro (fifth in the mile), Markeeese Boyd (sixth in the 400 meters), Kiehl Smith (second in the 800), Thomas Michno (sixth in the 3,000), Kejuan Frazier (fifth in the shot put), Nathaniel Frieswyk (eighth in the pole vault), Andrew Strzelecki (fourth with a school record in the weight throw), Xavier Aikens (eighth in the weight throw), Roscell Hines (fourth in the triple jump), Trevor Knowles (fifth in the triple jump), Rayshawn Robinson (seventh in the triple jump), Marcus Freeman (eighth in the triple jump).
Running at Grand Valley on Friday, Kiehl Smith achieved the second-fastest mile run in school history, completing his race in 4:16.48.
